Tomica Premium – Honda S2000 Type S

Honda S2000 Type S

Honda S2000 roadster was born way back in 1999. It was no longer in production since June 2009 due to worldwide rapid decline in new car sales at that time. With the Honda S2000 Type S edition being in production at an inopportune time, it only lasted for two years between 2008 to 2009. The Type S edition was made and sold only in Japan.

Tomica has recaptured the moment and released the mini version of the Honda S2000 Type S in mid July 2016. This time, it is made in Vietnam at a scale of 1:58. Other than this gray Honda S2000 Type S packaged in a Premium No. 17 Box, there is another color which is blue packaged in a Premium Original Box.

This Tomica can pull up an action whereby it has suspension on its tires when pressed. Its doors can’t be opened but views into the interiors can be seen clearly with the open-top.

The gray Tomica Premium Honda S2000 Type S can be admired from various angles captured at its best in pictures below.

  1. Woa so beautiful mini car toy! Is that tomica Honda S2000 type S work the same with real car with more than 1000 pounds? With bottom view, can we use some tools to open to see the engine inside? is the frame strong enough for impact? can you give the detail of dimension(height, width, length) ? Thank you for sharing

    • The 1:58 scale diecast model can never be compared to the real car. The diecast is riveted and factory sealed. You may unrivet it but may damage the otherwise valuable collectible item. I would rather leave it as it is. The body is made from metal and base is plastic. The approximate dimensions are 2.7 (L) x 1.1 (W) x 0.7 (H) inches. Hope you enjoy the site and get more diecasts for fun collection.
