Hot Wheels Barbie Corvette

If anyone is a fan of Barbie or Corvette, this garage collectible item is something not to be missed. Released this year under #7/10 of HW Screen Time series is the Barbie’s ’14 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Anyone who knows Barbie very well will know that Barbie owns pink Chevrolet Corvette convertible.

Number “59” is likely given to the Hot Wheels Barbie Corvette as the year Barbie was launched, which was on 9 March 1959 or it is because Barbie is already 59 years old. Probably due to these two coincidences of its age correlating with the year it was launched that Mattel chose to celebrate Barbie in its other Power Brand “Hot Wheels” as well. On the eve of Barbie’s 59th birthday this year, Barbie celebrated International Women’s Day in a big way with new releases of 14 historical dolls of “Sheroes”. They were modeled after inspirational women such as Amelia Earhart, Frida Kahlo, Olympian Chloe Kim, and NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson.

Barbie is surely celebrating her 59th year with a blast 🙂

Back to Hot Wheels Barbie Corvette, the Barbie signature and head logo makes the card looks super cool.

The hood has tampo “Barbie” and “59” with Barbie head logo. Two white stripes enhances sporty look on the mini Barbie Corvette. There are no detailed headlights and grille on the front which makes the mini corvette’s mouth looks a glossy pink. The transparent hood vent grille definitely change the exterior look and sets this Hot Wheels Barbie Corvette apart from the rest.

White interior (including the white stripes, tampos and logo on the front, sides and rears) gives the pink exterior color contrast a bold sporty look.

The sides have tampos ‘Barbie’ and “59” with “Hot WHeels” logo. There is also a matching white stripe that runs through the “Barbie” tampo which ends with a Barbie head logo. Front windscreen is clear or transparent and non-tinted. Wheels are J5.

This is the bottom view. Base is made of plastic in white “shiny-pearl” color. It is “Made in Malaysia”.

Barbie looks happy to own this Hot Wheels Barbie Corvette. Although it is a size too small to ride on, it is definitely a hot tick in Barbie’s collectable items 😉
