Hot Wheels Corvette C7 Z06 (Blue)

Are you a Corvette lover? If yes, we had three posts on Hot Wheels Corvette so far. If you have missed them, you can still check them out here:

  1. Hot Wheels Barbie Corvette
  2. Hot Wheels ’09 Corvette ZR1 (C6 Platform)
  3. Hot Wheels ’12 Corvette Z06

For this article, we would love to share the blue Hot Wheels Corvette C7 Z06. There were already 5 colors released for Hot Wheels Corvette C7 Z06. Pearl Yellow and Red were released in 2017 under Factory Fresh series while Black, Metallic Silver and Blue were released last year under the Then and Now Series.

The front of the carded pack is shown here unopened with the HW Corvette C7 Z06 neatly packed inside.

The back of the carded pack is typical of other series without any detailed description of the HW Corvette C7 Z06.

Now, let’s get the pack opened and see the details of the Hot Wheels car inside.

The hood has Chevrolet logo. The white stripes design is different from the usual dual racing stripes on the real life-size cars. Headlights are detailed here which completes the front look.

Through the tinted smoky black windscreen, the gray interiors can be seen detailed as close as it can get. The gray hood vent grille enhanced the look of the car, embedded in the middle of the larger white stripe.

The sides have white stripes as well, complementing the angular and aggressive look of the high performance car. Close to the rear side of the door, in between the end of the stripes, are Hot Wheels logo on both sides of the door.

Front quarter views from left and right angles.

Rear quarter views from left and right angles.

No tampo taillights or emblem at the back. Can you see the burrs? More to see on the burrs in next picture below.

The burrs can be seen very clearly here at the end of the rear windscreen. Some imperfections here which Hot Wheels has overlooked in their Quality Controls. We hope Hot Wheels will ensure better controls on their QC checks so as not to disappoint collectors.

Nonetheless, we still love this additional collection of ours 🙂

Last but not least, here is the bottom view. Base is made of plastic in black color. It is “Made in Malaysia”.

Now, I’m hungry. HW Corvette C7 Z06, let’s go grab some lunch! Anyone coming along? 😉

More to see here!

Toy Car Storage Case – How about 4 Durable Ideas from the Store?

  1. When I was a child, my big brother collected Hot WHeels. He had the big plastic carry case and everything.

Now, my 4-year-old son has a love of Hot Wheels. He has about 15 or 20 now, which he plays with every day. His father and I love taking him to pick out the newest, coolest looking cars and he almost never waits until we get home to open them.
My brother almost never let me play with his cars, but I am making up for that with my son.

Thank you for this review. I will be looking for this car to add to my son’s collection.

    • Have loads of fun with your son, Gwendolyn. Hope you have a fabulous family time shopping together for the car as well 😊

      Cheers, Rac

  2. Looked to your post with my child and we found it great. The foto’s give an excellent detailed overview of the toy. Especially the quarter views of the front and back of the car. The video you posted gives it a special touch for those who love collections.

It’s indeed not looking exactly like the real one, but thus it matters?

What I appreciated is that you mentioned the imperfections that Hot Wheels overlooked in their quality control. That’s honest and is giving trust to want reading your review. We are hereby thinking about buying one of your cars.
