Hot Wheels Mazda – With “Volk Racing Wheels”?

Has anyone ever thought of owning a Hot Wheels Mazda with “Volk Racing Wheels”?

Up to this year 2018, Hot Wheels has already released five versions of 1:64 scale of ’15 Mazda MX-5 Miata.

The first version of the fourth generation Mazda MX-5 (ND) was red with black interior whereby it was released in 2016 under the HW Nightburnerz series.

Last year, Hot Wheels had released the second version under the HW Speed Graphics series. There were two types of colors in this series which were yellow and blue. Both comes with black interior.

This year, they have them in blue (white interior) and white (black interior).

We would like to share with you the second version which is yellow. Although this was released last year, this is one of our favorite collectibles.

The front has tampo “Mazda” and its emblem and but no detailed headlights. It would have been nicer if it is similar to earlier version in 2016 HW Nightburnerz series which has detailed headlights.

Black interior (including the black stripes and the “VOLK Racing Wheel” tampos on the front and sides) gives the yellow exterior color contrast a bold sporty look.

Another angle of top view whereby the interior can be seen with the two seats.

The sides have tampo ‘VOLK Racing Wheel’ and “Hot WHeels” logo with matching black stripes. Front windscreen is black tinted which makes it look super cool. Wheels are gray PR5.

No tampo taillights or emblem at the back. Visible here are the roll cage, rear spoiler and rear lower diffuser.

Sporty rear view with the rear diffusers showing the aggressiveness and aerodynamics of the machine for super fast speed.

Base is black plastic and ‘Made in Malaysia’.

We have by now seen this HW ’15 Mazda MX-5 Miata at every angle. Its main highlight is definitely the “Volk Racing Wheel” tampos on the front bonnet and the sides. Wouldn’t it be nice if the wheels itself are produced with Volk Racing Wheels design?

Even if we don’t have a Hot Wheels Mazda with “Volk Racing Wheels”, I guess we just have to settle with the “Volk Racing Wheel” tampos for now which still makes it look classy and sporty.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

  1. Hey RAC,

This is another one of your excellent posts in your collectable series.

I always like how you have so many pictures of all different angels of the cars.

I am just wondering how many cars do you actually have now?

And what is the best place to get them?

I always look forward to seeing your reviews of one of my hobbies.

    Great job

    Tim

    • Hi, Tim. I have no idea how many toy cars we have already and it keeps growing. We got them from ToysR Us, hypermakets, online, flea markets, friends, families etc. Trying to feature them in this website as much as we can so we could keep count as well. You’re always welcome to visit our site for more 😊

      Cheers, Rac

  2. Wow, cool article and website! I never even realized how in-depth hot wheel cars can get. I mean I used to play with them as a child but never even considered the collectibles value to them. I love how you broke down every aspect of the car and also how you showed photos of every angle. I have a younger brother that is still very into these cars, I will have to show this article and website to him.

Thanks for your time in writing this, good job!

    Cheers,

    David

P.S. That is one nice Mazda car, would love to have the real one 😉

    • Thanks, David. I would love to have real one too, haha. Meanwhile, I will admire this one for now 😆

      Cheers, Rac
